Communication design ? Everywhere !

As I was going on my way to the early half past nine class in the morning , I tried hard to find something special to take a photo . But I got nothing eventually , everything along the road seems ordinary to my daily life . I walk along this road for at least two times a day , there seems nothing special at all . I felt a little frustrated .

In the class , the professor showed many remarkable designs to us , such as a UPC of a coca-cola bottle , a logo of NWA and so forth . Some good examples of communication and some poor ones . They are all the things which are common and around us .  Even a street nameplate is well designed for the passerby . Whether a design is good or not can effect our life seriously . There is great convenience behind a good design for its target audiences .

On my way home , I was thinking about the things I saw everyday. And I found the communication design really exists everywhere . Here is one .

 It was the sign of the Water Supplies Department . I think it was designed well . The whole shape of the logo looks like a solid ground . And the inner shape of "S" stands for "Supplies" and looks like a water stream . We can understand the meaning of the logo intuitively .

It's really necessary for me to think more ! On the way or in a supermarket or anywhere else . The world of communication design is really full of fun and fantastic ideas . I'm going to find more in ads , hope that I won't be stopped by a security when I take photos in a supermarket .
