The university's opening ceremony was held this afternoon and I have already became one of this school's formal students . It feels different to be a year one student from a foundation year student because of now I have my major and my specialized courses . 

The first class I had this semester was DGC 1180 . I thought it would be a great start . When I look at the timetable and found that it was taught by the professor who interviewed me last summer in Beijing , I thought it was fortuitously and fortunately .

 I used to thought DGC as a very narrow definition , just use computers to make pictures . Until the professor showed some works and projects the former students produced , I realized what I used to thought was wrong . The art has no such clear boundary lines . NO matter what means is used in communication , the idea is the most important . We can use variety of  forms to transmit our ideas , like paintings , sketches , digital graphic arts and so forth . The three hour class past quickly , I got a general information about what I'm going to learn . The notion of DGC seems like a garden of plenty spaces for me to create , I can cultivate whatever I want . I feel so energetic and dynamic to open my eyes to the changing world as being a member of DGC .
